Eong oversees engineering at Pantas where he sets the right foundation and vision on technology for Pantas to scale and adapt quickly. He is always on the mission to discover superstar coding talent with the right attitude to be part of Pantas’ engineering team.
Prior to co-founding Pantas, Eong spent 14 years in software engineering at Bloomberg’s headquarters in New York City and the London office where he built the Bloomberg Tradebook trading platform. More recently, he led a team of engineers in developing the machine-learning capabilities of Bloomberg’s Regulatory Reporting premium enterprise product.
Eong grew up in Bukit Mertajam, Penang where he never experienced four seasons until he stepped right into the punishing winters of the American Mid-West attending the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He graduated with a degree in Computer Engineering and a minor in Economics, which kickstarted his interest in Fintech.
Eong is big in giving back to society. Every quarter he would organize volunteering activities for his previous team. He has volunteered at the soup kitchen, cleaned up beaches, gardened, painted rooftops and handmade holiday cards.
